With the ending of the summer and the arrival of autumn, the Junior Park closed its gates and put to rest its attractions.
During this period the park will take a rest up to the next spring, when it will be ready to re-open its gates to all children on holiday in Lignano. For that moment, attractions and games will be renovated, with the introduction of some nice news: other games, but even shows, entertainment for children, new stalls and everything will be in the minds of managers.

Plainly the green, that characterizes this park in Lignano Sabbiadoro, will be cared and ducks that live in the park will be sheltered from cold and snow. In recent years, in fact, also the beach of Lignano saw the snow falling and the Junior Park has coloured white. A really impressive atmosphere.

Now the park is closed and greets all children and families who enjoyed themselves during the summer and all tourists who used the small train to make a tour in the city centre of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Even the white small train rest in the park, after having carried many people and even the band of Lignano, which made a travelling exhibition along the city centre. Astonishment on the part of tourists, who have welcomed with applauses and smiles this particular musical performance.

The summer season in Junior Park went very well and, as the most part of the businnesses in Lignano, even it recorded a slight increase in customers. From morning until evening many children had fun with the attractions, eating an ice cream or drinking a fresh beverage. Many of them became loyal customers, because for the time of holiday they went to the park almost every day after the beach or after an evening stroll in centre of Lignano Sabbiadoro.

The Junior Park is, in addition, the only park in Lignano Sabbiadoro well equipped with games, green areas with benches and refreshment stalls. The other parks are located in Lignano Riviera and Lignano Pineta, farther to reach for those who accommodate in city centre. The amusement park of Sabbiadoro is very easy to reach both on foot or by bus: the bus stop is in fact in front of the entrance gates. After a nice walk on the pedestrian street in city centre, opens before the eyes of children this green park that, in the evening with its coloured lights, sparkles.

To see again all this, we must wait for some months, when winter is past and the temperatures will be mild again. For the moment, the Junior Park says goodbye to all its guests waiting to welcome them with the 2012 season.

Lignano Sabbiadoro is a huge amusement park during the summer: playgrounds, shows, events and especially the beach.

Here children can play from morning until afternoon alone, with parents, with new friends and in the different mini-clubs. They can safely run, because the beach of Lignano is exclusively composed of soft and fine golden sand and they can play on the seashore and also in the sea. The seabed, in fact, slopes gently. Besides the beach, children can have fun in different places of Lignano Sabbiadoro: near Terrazza a Mare and in Palapineta the evening is the moment for baby-dance, while the afternoon is the moment of fairy tales.

Also this year Lignano offers the season “Pupi & Pini”, a festival of street and figure theatre for children, that weekly takes place with parades along the streets of the city centre, puppets in Piazzetta del Sole in Lignano Pineta and theatre in Hemingway Park in the greenery from 28th June to 30th August.

Not to mention the numerous parks in Lignano, which welcome children with their parents for funny hours. Not only the green park with swings, slides and equipment for the picnic like the Hemingway Park and the Sea Park in Lignano Pineta and the Park S Giovanni Bosco in front of the cathedral of Lignano Sabbiadoro, but also 6 amusement and theme parks.

Children can have fun in Lignano at all hours of the day until late evening.

Junior Park, in fact, is open from 10.30 am to Midnight, without breaks, offers many attractions for children and the opportunity also to eat a snack or a sandwich at the fast food restaurant inside. The playground in Lignano Sabbiadoro is located in a strategic position, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone and just few minutes from the beach. In this way it is easy to reach and children can enjoy themselves on go-kart or inflatable castles before and after the beach.

With the green and the amusement parks, shows in open air and the beach, Lignano Sabbiadoro becomes an ideal holiday destination for children and their parents: a lot of fun in a city reach in services and also nature.

For about a month are started the works for renovation and preservation of attractions and green at Junior Park.

The playground in Lignano Sabbiadoro started right after the Christmas holidays to reorganize its structure and the attractions for children, to be ready for the first spring opening, the 10th of April.

The maintenance works are very important, because they allow guests of the amusement park in Lignano to play in safety during the entire summer and also they allow animators and workers to totally dedicate themselves to entertain children without worries. Besides the cleaning and to repaint the attractions, Junior Park is tidying up also gardens and beds, very important elements of the park. It is in fact a green lung in the area of Sabbiadoro and offers families the opportunity to spend some hours of fun surrounded by nature. Beds with bushes and flowers bounded with small bricks of tophus, trees, clean and safe paths of squares, beautiful gardens with benches and tables and the ducks with their house near the small lake.
These services need time to be made carefully, for this reason the Junior Park is now fully operational. The opening day is not so far.

With Sunday 10th April it starts its working season and also if until middle May it will be open only during the weekends with short time, that is from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm, there will be not time to make great work for renovation, but only time to make the finishing touches. From Saturday 14th May until Sunday 25th September the amusement park of Lignano Sabbiadoro will be open all days from 10.30 am to Midnight for the fun of all young tourists that spend their holiday in the seaside resort. Between a dive in the sea and a stroll in the pedestrian zone, there is always time to play in Junior Park.

Few walk steps from the pedestrian area of Lignano Sabbiadoro and from the beach, the playground gets ready attractions and novelties for the upcoming summer season, to give its guests new moments of great fun surrounded by the green.

Lignano Sabbiadoro is made of 3 areas that offer tourists different ways to spend the holiday on the beach.

Lignano Riviera is the youngest area and it is located on the west, on the last stretch of the river Tagliamento and it is the right place for quiet holiday in harmony with nature. Villas and apartments are hidden by the green of the pine wood and the little traffic and the several well-developed bike paths allow to make excursions by bike. This is the ideal area for families with children and for those who look for relaxation.

Snail-shaped streets in the pine wood and shop along the “train” (Treno) are the features of Lignano Pineta. Here relaxing holiday mix with evening entertainment, thanks to the cafés and pubs frequented by the young people few walk steps from the beach.

The area of Sabbiadoro is the old town, more urbanized, with a long pedestrian zone that crosses the entire city centre, rich in shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs and with a lot of apartments and hotels. Fun is the watchword: besides discos and pubs, the beach offers sporting events during the day and concerts in the evening. But also in this area there is a green lunge, where children can play: the Parco Junior. This amusement park in Lignano Sabbiadoro is located at the beginning of the pedestrian zone and it offers to all the guests of the city centre the chance to have fun with the rides and attractions and to spend a day of fun. The attractions are both for younger children, as the swimming pool balls and the path with the canoes, and for the older children, as the mountain bike and mini kart tracks. In addition families can also have dinner or eat an ice cream inside the park, because there are both a café and a fast-food restaurant. A lot of stands of sweets and soft drinks are throughout the park, to meet the desires of children and adults.

The Friulian beach is composed by three areas, Lignano Sabbiadoro, Pineta and Riviera, that have different features and accommodate different tourists’ typologies.
