A Christmas time with a lot of fun in Lignano

Junior Park in Lignano Sabbiadoro wishes to all children and their families a warm Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Even if in this period the park few walk steps from Sabbiadoro and the beach is closed, children can equally have fun in Lignano. In San Giovanni Bosco Park, in city centre, a coloured merry-go-round is open for the entire period of the Christmas holidays from morning until evening. A nice walk with mum and dad along the pedestrian street and then a ride on the carousel, a cute present for the children. Also the white little train woke up to take children and their parent on a tour in the city centre of Lignano Sabbiadoro. As in summer, the train in these days goes along the pedestrian street and the promenade, discovering a totally different, but equally charming beach.

And then the Sand Crib and the Salt Crib, the novelty of Christmas 2011 in Lignano, and the ice rink, all within a few metres from each other. While children ice skate, parents can enjoy an excellent mulled wine or a hot chocolate and watch their children having fun.

As for the New Year’s Eve, Lignano thinks also to the children, which can celebrate their new year without going to bed too late. In the afternoon of December 31st, in fact, Terrazza a Mare in Sabbiadoro houses the traditional New Year’s Eve for Children. Party, music, games, workshops and, naturally, a small dinner for all children. From 3.30 p.m. all children can take part in the event and be at home ready to go to bed.

After them there will be adults with their New Year’s Dinner: a menu of gourmet and good music for the guests in Terrazza a Mare, while on Piazza Fontana everybody can wait until Midnight with entertainment and music of very good DJs and live bands.

Even in this period of the year families can find the fun in Lignano, with a special attention to the children, who Junior Park makes a special wish for a Happy New Year.

With the ending of the summer and the arrival of autumn, the Junior Park closed its gates and put to rest its attractions.
During this period the park will take a rest up to the next spring, when it will be ready to re-open its gates to all children on holiday in Lignano. For that moment, attractions and games will be renovated, with the introduction of some nice news: other games, but even shows, entertainment for children, new stalls and everything will be in the minds of managers.

Plainly the green, that characterizes this park in Lignano Sabbiadoro, will be cared and ducks that live in the park will be sheltered from cold and snow. In recent years, in fact, also the beach of Lignano saw the snow falling and the Junior Park has coloured white. A really impressive atmosphere.

Now the park is closed and greets all children and families who enjoyed themselves during the summer and all tourists who used the small train to make a tour in the city centre of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Even the white small train rest in the park, after having carried many people and even the band of Lignano, which made a travelling exhibition along the city centre. Astonishment on the part of tourists, who have welcomed with applauses and smiles this particular musical performance.

The summer season in Junior Park went very well and, as the most part of the businnesses in Lignano, even it recorded a slight increase in customers. From morning until evening many children had fun with the attractions, eating an ice cream or drinking a fresh beverage. Many of them became loyal customers, because for the time of holiday they went to the park almost every day after the beach or after an evening stroll in centre of Lignano Sabbiadoro.

The Junior Park is, in addition, the only park in Lignano Sabbiadoro well equipped with games, green areas with benches and refreshment stalls. The other parks are located in Lignano Riviera and Lignano Pineta, farther to reach for those who accommodate in city centre. The amusement park of Sabbiadoro is very easy to reach both on foot or by bus: the bus stop is in fact in front of the entrance gates. After a nice walk on the pedestrian street in city centre, opens before the eyes of children this green park that, in the evening with its coloured lights, sparkles.

To see again all this, we must wait for some months, when winter is past and the temperatures will be mild again. For the moment, the Junior Park says goodbye to all its guests waiting to welcome them with the 2012 season.

At the beginning of August, in fact, Junior Park applied the smoking ban inside the park, despite it is an open space. The park managers have taken this decision on the wake of other similar initiatives made in Italy and abroad, but especially to ensure to their young guests an environment as healthy as possible. A playground for children must protect its customer in every aspect.

Guided by this, managers decided initially to do a test for a short period. After seeing that the smoking ban was respected and did not inspire any particular problem, on the contrary, it collected some approvals, they decide to extend it until the end of season. It is probably that it will be suggested also the next year from the opening. A good work to raise awareness and respect for children.

Until September, 25th, the Junior Park offers its guests the chance to play and have fun on all attractions, besides to take a break at the snack-bar, in a very healthy environment. At the entrance of the park there is a dummy representing a girl with a sign in different languages, which says “For my health, in this park smoking is prohibited”. A phrase that could be repeated by every child. So, how to say no?

The well-known event “Lignano in Fiore”, which held in Hemingway Park in Lignano Pineta in these days, sees the participation for Saturday 7th of May also of Junior Park.

During a festival dedicated especially to children, could not miss the joy of the park of Lignano Sabbiadoro, which, unable to mover its attractions in the green Hemingway Park, has chosen for another nice alternative: a trip with the little train from Lignano Pineta to the playground in Lignano Sabbiadoro and back. Saturday 7th of May in fact, the little coloured train of Junior Park will be present at 3 pm in Hemingway Park and it will carry free all those who want to have fun on the rides for an afternoon. This service is useful, because parents can go to another park and come back with their children without having to move car. The success of “Lignano in Fiore” is so great that, especially during the weekends, it is very difficult to find parking places near the park.

Children can in this way have fun in Hemingway Park with the shows and animations suggested by organizers, besides running safe in a large space, and then continue to enjoy themselves in the amusement park in Lignano Sabbiadoro with its attractions: Jeeps, canoes, small motorboats in the lake, inflatable slides and much more.

Also here, all rides are located in a green park with trees that offer shadow, flowery beds, meadows with benches and tables, small lakes with fishes, swans and ducks. Sunday 10th of April finally opens the Junior Park!

After a long winter, the days become longer and the climate is definitely milder, with moments when it is OK stay with a t-shirt. These days bring in Lignano Sabbiadoro many visitors, which take advantage with their children for running on the beach and for a good ice-cream in city centre. Last Sunday, thanks to the good weather and the hot sun, the seaside resort breathed an advance of summer with a significant presence of people walking. The good weekends attract already visitors who can not wait to spend some time outdoors in Lignano Sabbiadoro, especially children who can come again on the beach, run and play.

From this Sunday children and their parents can have fun also in Junior Park few meters from the pedestrian zone of the city centre. The playground in Lignano Sabbiadoro will be open from 10.30 am to 9 pm with all attractions and also refreshment points open for all weekends until 14th of May, day from which the park will be open daily until midnight.

In these early spring weekends families that come in Lignano to spend a day outdoors and breath the healthy sea air, have the chance to enjoy themselves in the different amusement parks that open in the seaside resort. For about a month are started the works for renovation and preservation of attractions and green at Junior Park.

The playground in Lignano Sabbiadoro started right after the Christmas holidays to reorganize its structure and the attractions for children, to be ready for the first spring opening, the 10th of April.

The maintenance works are very important, because they allow guests of the amusement park in Lignano to play in safety during the entire summer and also they allow animators and workers to totally dedicate themselves to entertain children without worries. Besides the cleaning and to repaint the attractions, Junior Park is tidying up also gardens and beds, very important elements of the park. It is in fact a green lung in the area of Sabbiadoro and offers families the opportunity to spend some hours of fun surrounded by nature. Beds with bushes and flowers bounded with small bricks of tophus, trees, clean and safe paths of squares, beautiful gardens with benches and tables and the ducks with their house near the small lake.
These services need time to be made carefully, for this reason the Junior Park is now fully operational. The opening day is not so far.

With Sunday 10th April it starts its working season and also if until middle May it will be open only during the weekends with short time, that is from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm, there will be not time to make great work for renovation, but only time to make the finishing touches. From Saturday 14th May until Sunday 25th September the amusement park of Lignano Sabbiadoro will be open all days from 10.30 am to Midnight for the fun of all young tourists that spend their holiday in the seaside resort. Between a dive in the sea and a stroll in the pedestrian zone, there is always time to play in Junior Park.

The large parking and the stop of many city line buses in front of the park’s entrance made it easy to reach from the entire seaside resort.

Now that September is ending, even the park begins to close, but certainly until the end of the month it will be available for the amusement of the children. A nice sunny weekend invites people to stroll in Lignano and enjoy some warm rays of sunshine before winter. Especially families take advantage of the weekend of good weather to make a stroll on the pedestrian zone, drink a coffee, but above all to entertain the children outdoors.
